Thats not a small amount of ads. The ads are longer than the rounds and theres one adter every round and ads on the bottom of the screen the whole time. No music and not many sound effects either. I would bet its so the ads stand out more. Definitely not playing with live people, either. The way the ads are, it would be hard for everyone to still be synced up. This is an ad machine not a game.

This is not a live game with actual players. I tested this by leaving the game in the middle of a game and came back to it after an hour and picking back up where i left the game at. As far as your ranking, that may or may not be actual players. I have discovered that the players in your group will change. Reaching champion X , keep an eye on your total score it gives you the points after a win, then takes them away. Ads can be bypassed by leaving app then coming back in to pick up play again

I would absolutely love this game and rate it 5 stars if there wasn't so many ads!!!! I understand that there has to be revenue coming in on these free games, however after every single hole! I mean come on do better and I'll be back!! At least reduce it to have an ad after the whole series!! Other than that the game is awesome!! Let me know when you get rid of all the in-between ads and I'll re-rate to 5 stars and be back playing! Thanks
